LAND EXPANSION SITE KILLINEY HILL, DUBLIN [LAT: 53 37 45 LONG: 06 05 35]
By Sally Timmons

In 2006 I was invited to participate in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Concourse Installation in which three artists were selected for a group exhibition to take place in the concourse space in Dun Laohaire Town Hall.

The exhibition included work by myself, Fergus Byrne and Rhona Byrne. For more information about the exhibition and the other artists please visit:

As part of the commission, I invited the Danish organisation n55 [www.n55.dk] to collaborate with myself towards the expansion of their project Manual For Land in Dublin.

The site for the expansion of LAND was documented and presented during the exhibition in Dun Laoghaire. The LAND expansion site still is located on the north side of Killiney Hill near the quarry. The site had been marked by a small cairn, exclusively constructed for the Killiney site by Ion from n55. However, the cairn has since been removed from the location [?] In September 2007 a picnic table will be placed at the site with a plaque that provides information about LAND and a web address.

This page will also provide documentation of activities that will take place on the LAND expansion site in the future…

Download a pdf here with information about the project’s early initiation back in 2006.
